After a great nights sleep and making our own breakfasts, we got off to a flying start
(Thanks again to Neil for the photo)
We were going so well in fact, the Scottish highways had to send out a convey escort for us
We had a much better day today with 76 miles while sampling a few of the highlands hills. In truth the hill out of Dromendorick was probably the steepest we have encountered.
We certainly know we are in the highlands as the midgies are starting to bite, which means we cycle faster to avoid them!
We arrived at the Invershin hotel and were greeted with a lovely welcome of tea and biscuits and freshly cooked haddock and chips for tea!
Tomorrow is the penultimate day with a 20 miles of climbing to start!
The scenery looks awesome. And by the look of it the weather was kind too. Glad you got a better nights sleep. I guess that was because you weren’t sleeping in ‘bonk’ beds! Can’t believe you have only two days left. Brilliant xxxx
You’re getting there, wont be long, although 20 miles climbing tomorrow will be a little daunting, all down hill from then, have a fantastic day, HOOTS MON!
Stunning scenery but was it necessary for iron man to carry his bike down all those steps. Looks like punishment to me. Maybe the bean power helped but think it should have been spinach! Another great day achieved. Brilliant 🚴 🚵 nearly 🏁
Great pictures … loving the escort vehicle!! Just need to keep those legs turning up that little hill tomorrow and you’ve cracked it – should be no problem for you lads!! 🙂
All the training on the Tattie Hill will get you through tomorrow’s climbs – awesome effort lads, not far now
